Virtual Reality Solutions for Industrial & Construction Companies

Virtual Reality, often abbreviated as VR, is an exciting technology that creates immersive, three-dimensional digital environments. Think of it as a high-tech portal that transports you to a completely different world, even though you’re physically in the same place.

Case: CONTENEDORES ALMA

Contenedores Alma needed a better way to present their modular houses and mining hotels. Traditional methods like printed images and physical models were limiting. With Virtual Reality, we created an interactive solution that lets customers visualize projects in real scale, directly in their own environment.

WHAT WE DID?

We created a Unique Virtual Reality (VR) Experience

The Challenge

Companies in the construction and mining sectors face several challenges when trying to showcase their products to potential customers. Below are some of the main problems Contenedores Alma and many similar companies encounter when trying to present their products traditionally:

    1. Printed images don’t capture attention
    2. Difficulty visualizing the design
    3. Transporting physical models wasn’t sustainable or practical

Our Solution

Contenedores Alma found an innovative solution to these challenges by using Virtual Reality (VR). Instead of relying on physical models or traditional 2D representations, the company leveraged this technology to create an interactive experience where customers can see what a house or mining hotel would look like in their real-world environment, directly from their devices.

With VR, customers can now visualize a modular house or mining hotel in 3D, right on the ground or space where it would be installed, without needing to transport a physical model. This technology allows for:

  • Viewing the product in its real context

  • Interacting with the model

  • Accurate simulation

Augmented Reality Solutions for Construction, Mining & Industrial Companies

Augmented Reality, often abbreviated as AR, is a groundbreaking technology that blends the real world with digital elements, creating an immersive and interactive experience. It’s like magic brought to the real world, and it has the potential to transform the way companies operate and connect with their audiences.

Case: RTI

Real Time Instruments faced the challenge of presenting massive mining equipment at a Las Vegas conference without transporting it. Our Augmented Reality app for iPad and iPhone allowed them to showcase the machine on any table, turning a heavy obstacle into an interactive experience.

WHAT WE DID?

We created a Unique Augmented Reality (AR) Experience

The Challenge

Real Time Instruments (RTI) develops advanced equipment for the mining industry. Their technology is trusted worldwide to improve operations, productivity, and safety.

For an important mining conference in Las Vegas, RTI needed to present one of their flagship machines. However, the equipment is massive and extremely heavy, which makes it impractical to transport to the event. In addition, smaller venues cannot accommodate such large equipment. Therefore, the challenge was to find a way to showcase the full scale and functionality of the machine. At the same time, it needed to be accessible to potential clients without physically moving it.

Our Solution

To address this challenge, we created an Augmented Reality (AR) application for iPad and iPhone. This solution allows RTI to present their equipment in a dynamic and portable way. For example, users can display a highly detailed 3D model of the machine on any surface, such as a table. They can then explore it interactively during the event.

As a result, the AR application solved the logistical issues of transporting heavy equipment. Moreover, it delivered a memorable and innovative experience for attendees. Consequently, clients were able to visualize RTI’s technology in real scale and with rich detail, directly from their own mobile devices.

Blending the Real and Digital Worlds with Mixed Reality

Mixed Reality, often abbreviated as MR, is a groundbreaking technology that seamlessly blends the physical world with fully immersive digital environments, creating a dynamic and interactive experience. Unlike AR, which overlays digital elements on the real world, MR enables users to interact with both physical and virtual objects in real time. It has the potential to transform how companies design, operate, and engage with their audiences.

Case: REAL TIME INSTRUMENTS

RTI needed a way to showcase its massive AllScan mining scanner without transporting it. With Mixed Reality, clients can explore the machine in real scale, interact with its features, and understand its applications directly in their own space.

WHAT WE DID?

We created a Unique Mixed Reality (MR) Experience

The Challenge

RTI, a leader in mining technology, faced significant obstacles when presenting its advanced equipment. For example, the AllScan mining scanner is large, heavy, and complex to set up. Transporting such machinery to trade shows is costly and time-consuming. Moreover, smaller venues often make installation impractical.

Potential clients also struggle to fully understand the equipment’s features without direct interaction. As a result, it becomes difficult to demonstrate capabilities and educate audiences effectively

Our Solution

To address these challenges, OgdenXR developed a Mixed Reality solution. This technology allows RTI to showcase the AllScan in an interactive environment where digital models blend seamlessly with the real world.

With MR headsets, clients can place the equipment in their own space, walk around it, and explore how it works through real-time data overlays. Consequently, this solution eliminates the need to transport heavy machinery and extends RTI’s reach to global audiences. It also provides a memorable, hands-on way to demonstrate functionality at trade shows or in remote settings.
