Strengthening the Local Ecosystem: OgdenXR Hosts Business Model Workshop

At OgdenXR, we believe that a strong entrepreneurial ecosystem is built through collaboration, knowledge-sharing, and community support. As a local company committed to the growth of new ventures, we recently hosted a Business Model Generation workshop aimed at helping fellow entrepreneurs take their first steps with clarity and confidence.

Why We Did It

The goal of this workshop was simple: support the creation of new startups. We know from experience how important it is to have guidance and tools early in the entrepreneurial journey. By sharing what we’ve learned, we hope to make that journey a bit smoother for others. It’s part of our ongoing commitment to foster innovation and vision in our community.

What We Covered

The focus of the workshop was the Business Model Canvas, developed by Alexander Osterwalder. This tool is widely used by startups and established companies alike to map out the key elements of a business model in a clear and structured way.

We began with a conceptual overview of the canvas, walking through each of its nine building blocks—from customer segments and value propositions to revenue streams and key resources. Participants were encouraged to ask questions, reflect on their own projects, and think critically about how their ideas translate into real business structures.

After the introduction, we moved into a hands-on session, where each participant had the chance to design their own canvas, applying what they had just learned to their own startup or idea. The energy in the room was incredible, and it was inspiring to see so many early-stage founders working through their models and sharing insights with one another.

What’s Next

This workshop is just the beginning. At OgdenXR, we’re excited to continue supporting the local entrepreneurial ecosystem by sharing our knowledge, experiences, and tools. We believe that by working together, we can help build a future where more startups grow, thrive, and scale—right here in our own community.
