A Local Business with Big Ambitions
OgdenXR in the News: Growing Locally, Expanding Globally
Big news for OgdenXR! I recently had the opportunity to share our story with The Standard-Examiner, where we talked about our journey as a local business, our international projects, and what’s next for us. (I’ll be adding a picture of the newspaper feature here!)
Being featured in a local newspaper is always a big deal, especially when it highlights the work we’re doing beyond Utah. OgdenXR was born right here in Ogden, but our vision and projects have already taken us to Chile and Peru, with more exciting opportunities ahead.
Let me share a bit about where we are, where we’re headed, and why Utah continues to be a key part of our future.
OgdenXR: A Local Business with Big Ambitions
OgdenXR started with a simple idea—using immersive technology to make complex things visible and easier to understand. Whether it’s in mining, construction, or education, our goal has always been to help companies and professionals interact with data and environments in ways they never could before.
The best part? We’re based in Ogden, a city that thrives on innovation and entrepreneurship. Being a part of this community has given us access to great talent, resources, and now, microfunding support through the Governor’s Get Started Program.
Starting and growing a tech business isn’t always easy, but being surrounded by a strong local ecosystem has made all the difference. The exposure from this feature is just another reminder of how important local support is for startups like ours.
Taking OgdenXR International: Chile & Peru

Even though we’re an Ogden-based company, our clients aren’t just in Utah—and that’s something I’m really proud of.
Right now, we’re actively working on projects in Chile and Peru, two markets where immersive technology is making a huge impact, especially in mining and industrial training. Companies in these industries need safe, efficient, and interactive ways to train their teams and visualize critical data. That’s exactly where OgdenXR comes in.
In Chile, we’ve been collaborating with mining companies to develop immersive training simulations that help workers prepare for real-world challenges without putting themselves at risk. In Australia, we’re working on remote visualization tools that allow teams to monitor and manage operations from anywhere.
What’s exciting about these projects is that they prove something important—OgdenXR isn’t just competing locally; we’re building solutions that companies all over the world need.
The Future: OgdenXR’s Potential in Utah
While international growth is exciting, we haven’t forgotten about Utah—and there’s a ton of opportunity right here at home.
Utah is rapidly becoming a hub for tech innovation, and immersive technology has a growing role in industries like aerospace, defense, and education. With the right partnerships, I believe OgdenXR can help companies here in Utah leverage immersive solutions just like we’re doing in other countries.
Some of the key areas I see potential for include:
✅ Industrial Training – Helping companies train employees in high-risk environments using VR/AR.
✅ Education & Workforce Development – Partnering with universities and colleges to enhance learning through immersive experiences.
✅ Smart Manufacturing & Logistics – Using AR to streamline operations and improve efficiency in factories and warehouses.
MR DATA INTEGRATION, it is now possible.
A prototype where OgdenXR connected a Mixed Reality environment with online data from a custom platform. The prototype demonstrates that integrating digital visualization with real-time data is possible.
Final Thoughts
Being featured in The Standard-Examiner is a big moment for OgdenXR, and I’m grateful for the recognition. But more than anything, it’s a chance to reflect on where we’ve been and where we’re going.
We’re proud to be an Ogden-based business, but our vision extends far beyond city or state borders. Whether it’s helping mining companies in Chile, industrial teams in Australia, or businesses right here in Utah, our goal remains the same: bring immersive technology to industries that need it most.
